Oprah-inspired study proves being a fat drunk is counterproductive

People who undergo gastric bypass surgery get drunk quicker and take longer to get sober.”

My favorite part of the story: John Morton, assistant professor of surgery at Stanford, got the idea for the study after appearing on Oprah to talk about gastric bypass. There he was inundated with questions from the audience about the increased impact of alcohol on people who’d had the operation.

This explain’s Dean Vernon Wormer’s famous advice: “Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son.” It’s fat or drunk that’s the way to go.
