Louis Vuitton has a new spokesmodel — Keith Richards

keefMy only guess is that Vuitton now wants to be known for durability.

For his first ever ad campaign, the 64-year-old Richards — who has a rocky history of drug use — is seen cradling his guitar on a hotel-room bed, the lights part obscured by skull-print black drapes. “Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York. 3 am. Blues in C,” runs the slogan of the ad, shot by US photographer Annie Leibovitz and due to appear in the magazine press next month.

“A rocky history of drug use”??? They would seem to be using rocky in the sense of unsteady or wobbly. Nothing could be further from the truth about Keith and his drug use.

BTW, I do think it is a travesty that Keith didn’t win an Oscar for best scenery for his role in the (hopefully) last Pirates movie.
