- A giant mechanical spider will crawl around (a small part) of Liverpool tomorrow. “The three-story spider, seen dangling menacingly on the side of a building, was created as the centrepiece of a street theatre project, British media reports said. Dubbed “La Princess”, the beast will wake up on Friday morning (UK time), when its legs will stretch out to nearly twice their current length, Sky News reported.” Click on link for picture.
- A 8-foot tall mechanical ape was stolen from in front of a store in Maine. “The gorilla has been a favorite local attraction at the year-round flea market store, and owner Lowell Miller, 79, wants it back, no questions asked. It was last seen standing with its hand on the sign in front of Sandy’s Sales. Miller did not know it was missing until he started to close up on Sunday. He thought his clerk had wheeled it inside, and the clerk thought Miller had.” Sadly the story has no pictures but it does have a lot of great quotes and detail.
Personally I think the gorilla is off to Liverpool to start a band with the spider.
