Two German companies have pulled an ad campaign featuring a slogan almost identical to one used at Buchenwald. The campaign, run jointly by coffee company Tchibo and Esso, used the expression “Jedem den Seinen”, which can be translated as “to each his own” or “to each what he deserves.” The slogan “Jedem das Seine” hung over the entrance to the Buchenwald concentration camp during World War II.
