I saw it the other way round: I hoped that you were smart enough that you wouldn’t agree with the WSJ.
I certainly thought that you’d be smart enough, and public spirited enough, to point out that now is the time to buy in Boston’s friendliest neighborhood. And it’s about to get even friendlier now that I’ll be moving out.
And you forgot to mention the all-important and due to expire soon tax credit.

Ah yes, the tax credit. If that’s what makes the difference in being able to buy a house THEN YOU CAN’T AFFORD IT.
