US makes bold, decisive empty-posture over national security

DailyTech reports that:

The US government has decided to drop its plan to spend roughly $1.3M USD on [China-based] Lenovo PCs sold via CDW Government. The deal was one of Lenovo's larger deals and although it had complied with inquiries and talks, increasing outcry from within the US government ended up nixing the deal.  As we had mentioned earlier on DailyTech, even the accusation of espionage is typically enough to warrant the halt of such deals. 

So instead they'll be buying PCs made in China from someone else.
